YOUR ROLE
As a Die Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of stamping dies and tooling to support efficient, high-quality production. You will work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure tooling reliability and process optimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and improve stamping dies, tooling, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing and validating new dies and tooling.
- Troubleshoot die-related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of dies and tooling.
- Analyze tooling performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and tool life.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Ensure tooling documentation, drawings, and maintenance records are accurate and up to date.
- Support process validation, Engineering Change Notice (ECN), and production transfers.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
Requirements
- Experience in die design, die maintenance, or tooling engineering within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of stamping dies, metal forming processes, and tooling maintenance.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tooling Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Die Engineer or Tooling Engineer.
- Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
- Proficient in CAD software and Microsoft Office.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
