Summary
Our strategic partner is seeking a Java Technical Leader to act as the main client-facing contact, lead requirement discussions, coordinate incident analysis, support cloud application troubleshooting, and guide a five-member development team in delivering Java-based solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the primary onsite contact at the Yokohama office, collect client requirements, facilitate meetings, and manage direct communication with customers.
- Receive client feedback, analyze system behavior, reproduce cloud application defects, and identify suitable solutions for incident and problem resolution.
- Assign daily tasks, balance team workload, and track delivery progress for a five-member development team.
- Provide technical guidance and Java-based solution direction to team members when handling complex engineering issues.
- Carry out regular system health checks, investigate system logs, and consolidate and analyze CSV data for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N2 level or above with near-native fluency, including the ability to structure logical arguments independently, draft formal emails, and present to Japanese clients.
- Solid background and hands-on experience in Java Web Application development.
- Practical knowledge of the AWS ecosystem, including EC2, RDS, ELB, OpenSearch or ElasticSearch, S3, SQS, and CloudWatch.
- Proficiency in basic Linux commands and system log investigation, including Tomcat, Nginx, and ELB.
- Proven team management experience, strong crisis-management capability, and ability to work independently in a high-pressure, office-first working environment.
